THE GENE KRUPA STORY" is probably Sal Mineo's best headlining "A"
list
film in which he was the main star of the film.
He studied the drums for over a year, even teaming up with Gene Krupa
himself, and although the soundtrack is the real Gene Krupa playing,
Sal's drumming is real and is perfectly duplicated on screen.
